Deadline approaching for SEC Visiting Travel Grant Program applications

ÑÇÖÞÉ«°ÉÊÓƵ will select 12 faculty members to join the Southeastern Conference Visiting Travel Grant Program this year, and applications are due by 5 p.m. July 21.

The program is intended to enhance faculty collaboration that stimulates scholarly initiatives between SEC universities. It gives faculty from one SEC university the opportunity to travel to another SEC campus toÌýexchange ideas, develop grant proposals, conduct research, consult with faculty and/or students, offer lectures or symposia, or engage in whatever activities are agreeable to the visitor and host unit.

Selected MSU faculty will receive travel grants of $850 each for transportation, room, board and so forth to use for travel to another SEC campus.ÌýEligible faculty include assistant, associate and full professors.

Travel dates for these visits are between Aug. 1, 2023, and June 5, 2024.Ìý

This is the 12th year that the Southeastern Conference Academic Consortium have made funds available for these travel grants.
