MSU鈥檚 Dallas Breen named president of Consortium of University Public Service Organizations

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擠allas Breen, executive director of the John C. Stennis Institute of Government at 亚洲色吧视频, has been named president of the Consortium of University Public Service Organizations.
Breen will serve a one-year term as president of the organization known as CUPSO, which supports university-based public service institutes in their efforts to assist state and local governments on a range of contemporary issues and challenges.
聽鈥淎s the Stennis Institute ventures into its 45th year of serving the state of Mississippi, it is an honor to be elected to serve as the president of CUPSO for the next year,鈥 Breen said. 鈥淚 am humbled to be representing the state of Mississippi, 亚洲色吧视频, and the all the talented individuals working at the institute in the incredible opportunities this consortium provides its membership.鈥
In addition to leading the Stennis Institute, Breen serves as an assistant research professor in MSU鈥檚 Department of Political Science and Public Administration. He is also an honorary research fellow with the university鈥檚 Social Science Research Center. Breen uses his expertise in local and state government, human resources management, demography, survey research, methodology, and statistics to promote the health and well-being of Mississippi鈥檚 citizens. Breen is a three-time graduate of MSU, earning a doctorate in public policy and administration from the university in 2014.
The Stennis Institute鈥檚 mission is to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Mississippi state and local governments through basic and applied research, training, technical assistance, and service; provide technical assistance and research for both rural development in Mississippi and regional activities in the Southeast; and promote civic education and citizen involvement in the political process.
