MSU police chief elected to international campus law enforcement organization board

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥斞侵奚墒悠德燯niversity Police Chief Vance Rice has been elected to the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators聽(IACLEA)聽Board of Directors.聽
Rice will serve a three-year term as the organization鈥檚 Southeast Regional Director beginning in June.聽IACLEA is the聽world鈥檚聽largest professional association devoted to excellence in campus public safety and law enforcement.听听
鈥淐hief Rice鈥檚 election to serve as the Southeast Regional Director for IACLEA is testament to his leadership of the 亚洲色吧视频 Police Department and a recognition of the respect his peers have for his work across the profession of university policing,鈥澛爏aid聽MSU Vice President for Student Affairs Regina Hyatt. 鈥淐hief Rice鈥檚 involvement in聽this organization聽is a benefit to our MSU community and the greater law enforcement community as IACLEA is leading the way in best practices and innovative law enforcement on college campuses.鈥澛
Rice has served as chief of the MSU Police Department since 2014. Prior to his appointment at MSU,聽he spent 25 years with the University of Arkansas Police Department. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy,聽a federal training program for law enforcement managers.聽
