STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥斞侵奚墒悠 students and alumni can explore career opportunities while networking with employer representatives during the university鈥檚 upcoming spring Career Days.
Taking place Tuesday and Wednesday [Jan. 29 and 30] at Humphrey Coliseum on the Starkville campus, the noon-4 p.m. free events will feature more than 150 recruiters from around the country.
Tuesday is designated for all non-technical majors, while Wednesday focuses specifically on engineering and technical careers. Business attire is highly recommended, as is bringing along several r茅sum茅 copies.
Students and alumni can obtain a list of attending employer representatives upon arrival. The Career Center will provide a name tag with the participant鈥檚 academic major and class year, so students should ensure their profile on their 鈥淐onnections鈥 account at is updated.
Leslie Neal, manager of marketing and events for MSU鈥檚 Career Center, said fall and spring Career Days events are a win-win-win for recruiters, students and alumni, and MSU as a whole.
鈥淗aving a big group of recruiters all in one location is the biggest benefit for students,鈥 she said. 鈥淓ven if they are not ready to graduate or looking for a full-time position, they still can take advantage of opportunities like this to prepare and practice. Recruiters are impressed with the quality of our students, and our students鈥 participation brings more and more recruiters back to campus.鈥
