MSU announces inaugural Biological Sciences student ambassadors

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥 Ten 亚洲色吧视频 students have been selected to serve as ambassadors for the university鈥檚 second largest academic unit.

Chosen from nearly 30 applicants, the group marks the first student ambassador organization in the Department of Biological Sciences鈥 long history within the College of Arts and Sciences.

Biological Sciences Ambassadors will assist the department with on-campus recruiting events, community service projects, and alumni relations throughout the upcoming academic year.

鈥淲e are so excited to welcome this inaugural group of Biological Sciences Ambassadors for what promises to be an integral component of outreach for our department,鈥 said Michael Black, the department鈥檚 academic coordinator and Biological Sciences Ambassadors adviser.

鈥淭he 3.60 composite GPA of this incoming group speaks to the quality of our students and those we continue to attract to 亚洲色吧视频,鈥 Black added.

HUDSONVILLE, Michigan鈥擟asey M. Raborn, a senior biological sciences/pre-medicine major.

MADISON鈥擟hase A. Warren, a junior microbiology major.

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Missouri鈥擝rooke M. Lashley, a sophomore biological sciences/pre-medicine major.

PLANO, Illinois鈥擵irginia M. Lomax, a senior microbiology major.

WHEATON, Illinois鈥擬ichael Whelan, a senior biological sciences major.

Serving more than 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students, the Department of Biological Sciences offers degrees in biological sciences, microbiology and medical technology. Many students in the department seek rigorous preparation for medical, dental and nursing school, among other science and health-related programs and professions.
